Air your home
Whether you have a pet or not, it is essential to renew the air in your home on a daily basis, regardless of the season. Not only does this prevent indoor pollution, but it also eliminates odors that are a little too present.
Open your window and leave it open for at least 10 minutes, taking care not to let your pet in the room so that he won’t be tempted to approach it and fall out.
Changing the litter
Cats, rabbits, hamsters and other rodents relieve themselves in a cage or a litter box. To avoid odors, be sure to change the litter very regularly: every two days.

Baking soda
Baking soda is known to absorb bad odors: once your pet’s crate is cleaned, you can pour some on the bottom before pouring in clean shavings.
If your dog or cat urinates on a carpet, don’t panic: pour baking soda on the stain. Wait until the next day to remove it with your vacuum cleaner.
Vinegar alcohol
Another tip for eliminating cat urine smell is to use spirit vinegar. To remove it, soak a cloth in vinegar and then rub the area to be treated.
Good to know: never wash urine stains with bleach. Cats love this smell and yours could reoccur.
Essential oils
Essential oils are particularly effective against bad odors. Use a diffuser that will sanitize the room and release a pleasant scent. You can use lavender, citronella or conifer essential oil (pine, cedar…).
Be careful, some smells can disturb your pet. This is the case of peppermint for example.
