How to stay hydrated without sweating in summer?

Drink, drink, drink

Before even thinking about beauty and cosmetic gestures, it is essential to drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day . Some open their eyes wide but know that this is not a bad joke. Start in the morning on an empty stomach with a large glass of lemon water. Without this daily intake, the body dries out, becomes dehydrated and the cells struggle to renew themselves. 

This causes digestion problems on the one hand and premature aging of the whole organism . Summer often rhymes with aperitifs and more frequent doses of alcohol. However, alcohol also causes some dehydration so go ahead with the bottle… of water!

Change day cream

The skin changes appearance with the seasons. If you have combination skin in winter, it is more likely to become oily in summer, if your skin is very dry and tight in winter, you will probably find a good balance in the summer. We must therefore also  adapt to this change and modify our habits and our beauty routines in the morning. 

First tip, change your day cream! We save the rich and very greasy creams for the winter. Do not be afraid to sweat, it is a natural and essential process in the body. We do not block perspiration. In summer, you have to find a lighter lotion or treatment that won’t clog your pores. After thorough washing, apply your cream, which will moisturize the skin and protect it from external aggressions . In the evening after removing make-up, consider moisturizing the skin with a dry oil, a light night cream, or a simple hydrosol.

One mask per week

To perfect your hydration, it is also possible to apply a mask to the face once a week. Among other things, this allows the skin to rebuild its natural defense barrier. Here are two natural skincare recipes for moisturizing face masks . Mash a banana and apply it fifteen minutes on your face. Rinse with cold (not ice cold) water to activate circulation.

On the same principle, crush a cucumber until obtaining a paste and apply it fifteen minutes on the face and the neck. Do not forget to keep two washers that can be gently placed on your eyes . The skin around the eyes is thin and fragile, dries out quickly (especially because of the sun) and requires even more attention!
